These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Ease (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. What Ease is, and what it is not

Ease is a daily companion for autistic adults. You name it, talk to it, ask it to build routines or task lists, and let it gently remind you of them. It is designed to be steady, low-pressure, and respectful of your autonomy.

Ease is not a medical device. It is not therapy, counseling, or psychiatric care. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. The conversations you have with the AI are not delivered by a licensed mental-health professional. If you need professional support, please contact a qualified provider.

Ease is not an emergency service. Do not rely on it in moments of acute crisis. Always contact a crisis line or emergency services first (see the orange box at the top of this page).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Ease. By using the Service you confirm you meet this requirement. If we learn that a user is below 16 we will close the account and delete the data.

3. Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your password secret. Notify us immediately at support@meet-ease.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

During the closed beta, accounts are created by invitation only and cannot be self-registered.

4. AI limitations

Ease uses third-party AI models to generate responses. These models can:

  • Get things wrong, misremember context, or invent information.
  • Reply slowly, fail temporarily, or be unavailable.
  • Misunderstand emotional nuance, especially in short messages.

Do not rely on the AI for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions. Always verify important information with a qualified human source.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to harm yourself or others.
  • Submit content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, or violates anyone else's rights.
  • Try to reverse-engineer the Service, scrape data, or interfere with its operation.
  • Resell or share your account credentials.
  • Use automated tools to interact with the Service without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

6. Price

During the closed beta, Ease is provided free of charge. We will announce pricing in advance of any paid release and you may decline by canceling your account before charges begin.

7. Privacy

Your privacy is covered by our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

8. Termination

You can stop using Ease at any time and request deletion of your data by emailing support@meet-ease.com. We may suspend or terminate the Service or any account at any time if necessary to comply with the law, protect the Service, or address serious misuse.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, NOR THAT ANY INFORMATION IT PROVIDES IS ACCURATE OR RELIABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, EASE AND ITS OPERATOR ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE — EVEN IF WE WERE ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR EUR 50 — WHICHEVER IS GREATER. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY OUR NEGLIGENCE, OR ANY OTHER LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW (INCLUDING MANDATORY CONSUMER PROTECTION LAWS IN YOUR JURISDICTION).

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service, except where prohibited by law.

12. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. The competent courts of the Netherlands have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory consumer protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your home country.

13. Changes to these Terms

If we make a material change to these Terms we will update the date above and notify active users via email or an in-app message at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after that means you accept the updated Terms.
